Ashley N. Rodriguez, Esq. (she/her)
Founder and Principal Attorney
Ashley N. Rodriguez, Esq., is a Chicago criminal defense attorney who defends the rights of overpoliced communities. Her firm focuses on providing access to justice by offering client-focused services and transparent pricing.
Ashley is an aggressive advocate for those charged with felonies, misdemeanors, and traffic violations. She recognizes that navigating the criminal legal system is a stressful, complex process and strives to ensure that her clients are well-informed at every step. Ashley looks at the big picture when evaluating a case, taking into consideration how one's rights will be affected by a potential conviction in the future. In addition to criminal defense, Ashley's practice concentrates on expungement and sealing of criminal records, driver's license reinstatement, and FOID Card appeals.
Before being licensed as an attorney, Ashley served as a law clerk in the Felony Trial Division of the Law Office of the Cook County Public Defender, where she gained extensive, hands-on courtroom experience. She previously worked as a Staff Attorney at First Defense Legal Aid, where she represented survivors of police violence and misconduct in both state and federal court. Ashley earned her law degree from The John Marshall Law School and was licensed shortly after graduating. She received her B.S. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in law enforcement from Texas State University.
Ashley founded Second Chance Law with the goal of creating a law firm that offers client-focused legal services through open attorney-client communication, transparent pricing, and genuine legal counseling. As someone who faced her own felony charges at a young age, Ashley recognizes the fear and stress that come with being involved in the criminal legal system. Her personal experiences have influenced her unique approach to client representation and fueled her passion for advocating for one's rights.
